Veterinary Information System
The Veterinary Information System (VIS) is an online animal health information management system in Bhutan.
It records data concerning veterinary services delivery in all the animal health extension centres, regional and
central livestock farms, and other relevant agencies in the country. The technical services available in the
system are
Individual (clinical, vaccination, deworming and sterilization), Mass (clinical, vaccination and deworming), Pet
Information Management, Dog Population Management/ Mass Dog Vaccination, and Disease Outbreaks.The system can
generate reports on all the services to inform policy decisions on animal health. The system also archives all
the past animal health data, including the notifiable disease outbreaks reported in the country since 1996.
